About the artist

Nancy Nesvet is a painter and photographer. She earned an MFA at Maine College of Art and has been granted residencies at Vermont Studio Center and Maine College of Art and has exhibited at Brandeis University, Maine College of Art, Vermont Studio Center, Light Street Gallery in Baltimore, Maryland, KNEW gallery in Georgetown, D.C., the Dennis and Philip Ratner Museum, OBA bank and other venues.

She photographs forces of natures, waves, clouds and pure light that are ephemeral. Her latest series, exhibited at Divino Lounge in Bethesda, Maryland portrays the view under the pier in Portland, Maine; murky water hiding the disintegrated wood and barnacles that grow on the beautiful forms under the water.

Sometimes we find beauty where we least expect it.
